As I start to develop my transport app, one of the key things we have focused on is understanding the needs and preferences of my users. To do this, I have conducted an early survey to gather feedback on the current bus services and empathise with users.

The importance of conducting this survey cannot be overstated. By gathering feedback from users at this early stage, I can better understand their pain points and frustrations with the current bus services, and use this information to inform the design and functionality of my app.

In addition to gathering valuable insights from users, the survey has also helped me to empathise with their experiences and see things from their perspective. By putting myself in their shoes, I can better understand their needs and design my app in a way that meets their expectations.

Overall, this survey has been a valuable tool for me in the development of my transport app. It has helped me to gather valuable feedback and insights from users and has allowed me to empathise with their experiences and design my app in a way that meets their needs.d

After collecting the survey responses, I then organised the findings into categories to identify trends and patterns. This has been an invaluable process, as it has allowed me to see what issues and concerns are most common among current users, and to prioritize them accordingly.

For example, I identified a trend among users who were frustrated with the lack of reliable bus schedules and the difficulty of planning their journeys in advance. This feedback has been particularly valuable to me, as it has informed my decision to include features such as real-time tracking and route planning within the app.

Organising the findings from my survey into categories has been an important step in the development of our transport app. It has allowed me to identify key trends and patterns among my users, and to prioritise their needs and concerns accordingly. This has helped me to create an app that is more intuitive, user-friendly, and meets the needs of my users.

What I have learned & What I could have done better

Initially, when I created my survey and shared it with people to gather feedback, I was happy with the questions I had scripted. I thought that I had included enough content to receive useful information from people. However, after seeing accumulating the data afterward, I realised that I should have included a few more questions. As well as this, I also think I could have shared it with a lot more people to gather even more feedback. I only managed to gather 18 responses which I believe is far too little, I would have liked to have at least 50-70 responses. Next time I will spend more time and devote more attention to gathering survey responses as I believe they are a very valuable piece of research to have, especially at this stage in the design process.
