When designing for anything, it's important to have a deep understanding of your target audience and the needs and desires of the people who will be using your product. That's why I decided to create an empathy map for my transport app.
The empathy map helped me to understand my user base from a holistic perspective. It allowed me to put myself in the shoes of my users and consider their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors from their perspective.
To create my empathy map, I started off by identifying a user persona – in this case, the people who will be using my transport app. Then, I brainstormed and listed out the various thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that my user persona might experience in relation to my product.
For my transport app, I identified the following categories:
I then spent some time brainstorming and filling in each of these categories with as much detail as possible. This helped me to get a better understanding of what my users might be thinking, feeling, and needing as they use the app.
Overall, creating an empathy map was a valuable exercise for my project. It helped me to see things from my users' perspective and consider their needs and desires in a more holistic way. I'll definitely be using this tool again in the future as I continue to develop and improve my product.
