Following on from my Competitive analyses, I used the information I had gathered to construct a set of features to include in my app. I felt it was important to analyse the features of competitors and consider implementing them into my design. It was also important to refer back to my user requirements and consider features that might not have been trendy in other transport apps, but met the needs of my user requirements.

The green box below displays a list of features that trended in other transport apps and created a good user experience. The blue box contains other features that I selected out of my competitors which helped support my user requirements. I also added a section called “Things to consider” which was taken from my customer reviews and surveys where customers had issues with certain features.

Together I paired these two selections of features to create my primary app features. These features would pilot the app experience and ensure that it operated just as my users expected it would.

Next Steps

It is time to use these primary features to create my app landscape and structure each section according to my research and user requirements. I will also use this list of primary features as a new list of requirements for my app to ensure that I include everything.
