Following on from last week's class, I wanted to review some of the articles, PDFs, and videos that we crowd-sourced.

Since then I have had a rethink about my essay title and question as It is currently very broad:

‘How is technology being utilised to tackle ongoing global social issues?’.

I want to narrow it down to my main area of interest, Climate Change.

NOW:

‘How is technology being utilised to tackle the ongoing climate crisis.’

With the title of the essay now

‘The utilisation of technology to combat climate change.’

Climate change is an ongoing global issue that is affecting everyone right now. It affects and causes so many other world issues that it could be regarded as our number one global issue right now.

Climate change in itself has a lot of different issues that are affected by various different things. Politics and capital come to mind when thinking about climate change as these are the two factors that influence any sort of change in our world.

Although this is such a massive global issue, we are taking action on it in many ways. There are a lot of innovative and exciting technologies and projects out there that are being developed to tackle some of these climate issues.

Before I look at projects being developed to aid these issues, I’ll take a look at some of the world’s climate change issues we are experiencing today.

Research List

The effect humans have on the planet and when the concern for our planet’s well-being turned into a serious matter.

The many ways society has been affected by climate change and will outline events that have been a result of it.

Surface some of the biggest culprits of the climate crisis and what motivates them to prioritise their own needs.

The shift in industries’ objectives to combat climate change through the use of new technological advances and practices.

The impact that these new advances have on users and how they are changing the way we do things.
